Carl’s HotShot Golf Hitting Mat
Price range: $420.00 through $980.00
Carl’s HotShot Golf Hitting Mat is a hitting mat with a replaceable strike zone — instead of replacing the whole mat when the impact area wears out, you swap in a new insert. Choose your mat size and insert style (Standard, Foam Divot, or Gel Divot) to match your setup and swing.
- Replaceable strike zone extends the mat’s life
- Choose from Standard, Foam Divot, or Gel Divot inserts
- Standard insert supports real tees for full-bag practice
Best for: home golf simulators, garage setups, indoor practice spaces, and golfers who want a replaceable hitting area instead of replacing the entire mat.
What It Is
Carl’s HotShot Golf Hitting Mat is built for golfers who want a comfortable, durable hitting surface for home golf simulators, garage practice spaces, and commercial simulator bays. It gives players a stable stance area, realistic turf feel, and replaceable hitting strip options so the main hitting area can be refreshed without replacing the entire mat.
Most of the wear on a hitting mat happens in one spot — where you actually make contact. Carl’s HotShot Mat is built around that fact: instead of one solid mat that wears out as a whole, the strike zone is a separate, replaceable insert. When it wears down, you replace the insert instead of the entire mat.
You pick your mat size and your insert style above before adding the mat to your cart — Standard (supports real tees, good for full-bag practice), Foam Divot (softer, more forgiving on joints), or Gel Divot (more realistic turf interaction and stronger feedback on fat shots)
A good hitting mat matters because it is one of the parts of a golf simulator that gets used on every swing. The Carl’s HotShot Golf Hitting Mat gives golfers a dedicated stance and hitting surface instead of swinging directly from a hard floor, garage surface, or temporary practice mat.
For home simulator builds, this helps make the space feel more complete and easier to use regularly. For commercial simulator bays, it gives players a more organized hitting area that looks cleaner and supports repeated use.
This mat is also a practical choice because the hitting strip can be replaced when the main impact area starts to wear. That helps extend the life of the setup and avoids replacing the full mat every time the hitting area needs refreshing.
The Carl’s HotShot Golf Hitting Mat works well with Carl’s mat base, golf simulator enclosures, impact screens, and projector setups. It is a smart finishing piece for golfers building a garage simulator, basement golf room, training studio, or commercial indoor golf bay.
If you are building a simulator from the ground up, the hitting mat should not be an afterthought. A stable mat helps the golfer stand comfortably, swing confidently, and practice more often.
